Robus Logistics, LLC ("Robus Logistics," "we," "us") is an independent agent of Landstar Ranger, Inc., based in Lebanon, Wisconsin. This policy explains what information we collect through robuslogistics.com and our business email, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you request a quote or contact us, we collect what you enter: your name, company, email, phone number, shipment details (origin, destination, equipment, dates, commodity) and any message you include.
- Business contact information. To reach companies that may need freight services, we use business contact details (name, title, company, work email and phone) from public sources, professional networks, referrals and commercial business databases.
- Email correspondence. When you email us or reply to our email, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and follow up.
- Basic technical data. Our website host may automatically log standard information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and site operation. We do not use advertising cookies or sell tracking data.
How we use information
- To respond to quote requests and questions, and to arrange and manage freight shipments.
- To send business-to-business outreach about freight and logistics services, and to follow up on those messages.
- To keep accurate records of our communications, including stopping follow-ups once someone replies or asks us not to contact them.
- To meet legal, tax, safety and contractual obligations, including those of Landstar as the operating carrier or broker of record.
Use of Google user data
We use internal software that connects to our own business Gmail account through Google's official Gmail API. This access is used only to send emails we have approved, to record which messages we have sent, and to detect replies, out-of-office notices, bounced messages and opt-out requests so we can respond appropriately and stop follow-ups.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- Gmail data is used only to provide the email features described above for our own business account.
- We do not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide those features, to comply with law, or with your consent.
- We do not allow humans to read Gmail data except for our own correspondence, with your consent, for security purposes, or as required by law.
- Gmail data is not used to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Access tokens are stored encrypted on our own equipment. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to do business:
- Landstar and its capacity network. Shipment and contact details are shared with Landstar and the carriers moving your freight so the load can be quoted, booked and delivered.
- Service providers. Companies that host our website, email and business software, under their own privacy and security terms.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, regulation or legal process, or to protect rights, safety and property.
Opting out of email
If you don't want to hear from us, reply "no thanks" or "unsubscribe" to any email, or contact us using the details below. We will stop emailing you and keep a record so you are not contacted by email again.
Data retention and security
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and for our legal and business records. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law or contract. Contact us using the details below.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
